Abaga Falls

Abaga Falls is located approximately 15 km. Southwest of Iligan City specifically in Brgy. Abaga, Baloi municipality, Lanao del Norte. The height of Abaga Falls is approximately twice that of the famous Maria Cristina Falls also located within the proximity of Iligan City (in Baloi municipality). Compared to Maria Cristina, which is connected to the Agus river, the source of water of Abaga Falls are the several underground springs which flow into the top of the Abaga Falls. Human access to Abaga Falls is severely limited due to current lack of regularly maintained roads as well as the fact that a moderate amount of walking is required to reach the base of the falls.
